I can typically place an L-Shape house for a player the same day that they ask for one. So this "I can't find a large house spot" stuff makes me laugh. I've done it countless times for players.

People are just lazy...and that's saying something when you're already inside sitting at a computer to begin with.

I think the housing situation here is very good, although I'm seeing a lot more smalls popping up where they weren't there before. Hopefully that is speaking to the playerbase growing. Although the house that just appeared near one of mine (so and so's house of [expletive deleted] sex) makes me wonder about the quality of player.

Having said that, I'm looking to place/buy a large house (patio, large brick or 2 story) and am very picky about my location. If anyone is interested in acting as a location spotter or just wants to sell me one, pm me and we'll talk about my desired location/terrain. I'm, of course, willing to pay for finding services and/or pay whatever the market price is for the house.

I'd have to point out that yes, many people own multiple houses per account.
The biggest PLUS side to this is, I have seen quite a few people be very generous by using these extra houses as loners to New players until they get on their feet and can buy their own.

As far as the rich selling their extra houses at extremely inflated prices, the majoity of the sales I have noticed are pretty reasonable (coming from someone who has been playing on this shard for 3weeks tops so far and watching the houses forum daily) as they are mainly asking for Deed plus a small profit. Yes, the larger the establishment the larger the profit but thats normal in all markets and consider the time it would take for you to IDOC sit all day in hopes of grabbing up the spot first. The margin is worth it IMHO.

Also, Check out the players/Guilds who use some of their extra housings to host some pretty cool events from what I've seen on the forums.

Yes, it may blow to not be able to just walk up and place a house in a ready available spot, but I see the positives outweighing that one negative.

My point about this is pretty simple: At real uo, at OSI... how many of you had more then 1 account? also... i know many ppl quit the game and leave the accts with friends, wich gives that person a hold of another 15 houses possibility...

imo, 1 house per account. You dont need more then that. I dont care if its era accurate, u had to pay to play there, u dont need to pay here. Also, by that time, most ppl used dial-up to play, now we can just leave our chars 24hrs online. Stuff changed. Server should re-arrange.

Like, i see "guilds" (1 person that refresh all) have like 30-50 houses, and brag about it... i mean, cmom wtf? Go out and see the real world.

Should probably take your own advice if this issue bothers you....at all.

Regardless, many of those "guilds" are a lot more active than 1 player, set new players up in guild new player housing, hold resist sessions for new players to work their resist, offer their time in IRC answering countless questions, do group t-maps to help new players get money, and go on group monster hunts to help these new players collect money. They hold events when they have time in which they give away hundreds of thousands in gold...sometimes millions. They contribute to shard-wide events both by participating and helping with ideas and storylines.

Just because they aren't logged in killing an orc in front of the house when you happen by does not mean they do not play or that they are inactive. There are people from just about every time zone in the world that play this server.

In the end, it is accurate AND its not a problem. As I have said before, its only a problem to those who aren't willing to work for something like EVERYONE else had to. They want what everyone else has, without having to work for it like they did. They don't want to have to haggle over buying small houses so that they can place a tower....like other people have had to do. They want the easy path, like many in this generation.

Lol Mr. Old one... Thing is: LIFE changed. the WORLD changed.
Again, how many of you had 3 accounts on OSI? i bet its like 20% if that.

I just think its retarded to someone have 30 houses, or 2-3 if that. I need only 1.

And i could care less for big guilds that help the newbies sparing their houses and bla bla bla. I kill and grief em as much as i can. Thats how they will learn. =)

Also, i am working my way to buy my crap. Just sayin its retarded not to have space to get a bigger house because a couple of people likes to have 10-30 houses to say: "hey look, my e-peen is sooo big, i have a bunch of houses, now i can log out and say im a the best"

Most of these ppl barely play. And to me, ppl that dont play, should just retire. No point in having dead weight.

Nuff said. =)

I could careless on what is done, just had to put my 2cp into this, because "ERA ACCURATE" is a nice concept, but u guys forgot that when UO was made, the WORLD (OUTSIDE) was a lot different.

I really don't think people have a bunch of houses because of some epeen issue. Maybe they have a castle for the epeen, but not multiple houses. I have multiple houses because I like to have houses in different areas nearby when I do different things. Storage can also be an issue when you like to keep a fairly tidy house.
