This was an event that was broadcasted by Braden. I was there at one point months ago. I think the main issue here is the implication that it seemingly never ended?

It just seems funny that right after we get two new GMs theres a massive influx of silver into the shard with only select groups knowing about it and no shard announcement of any kind.
I joke about quitting a lot after being griefed, but this is a true game breaker for me, if it comes to light that staff are helping their friends, I will personally leave UOSA forever.
I didn't bother reading all 4 pages of this, but get real please.

This event definitely has not been running the whole time, it was turned back on somehow about 3 weeks ago, i have houses at 2 of the spawning points and i visit the skara docks on a daily basis, if this was nonstop for the last few months, alot more people would have known than just 1 guild and a few random blues.

Yeah I personally don't care who knew or farmed it tbh. If I knew about it I would have farmed it dry too, that's just what we do. My concern is just how grossly unbalanced it is. Giving one spawn loot that takes hours to get by any other method is just... not good any way I can imagine it. We gonna see skull candles spawning on dingbats next?

So everyone agrees that this was a prior event that somehow got turned back on?
It sounds like a mere accident. And given their history of this kind of thing never having happened before, I feel strongly behooved to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I think all you guys who spouted off accusing UOSA of corruption should recant at this point.

It's all about forum drama.

I agree, and I think some apologies are in order.

The event didn't turn itself on. Nor does it turn itself off. So conspiracy theories aside, there was some degree of oversight. But not really a big deal in the grand scheme of the shard.
The most amusing part of the threads were the lurkers coming out of the woodwork to suggest this was (or should be) a way to help newbies get some wealth to compete with those evil wealthy people. Ya know...the ones that are the most active on the shard on a daily basis, donate their time and millions of gold to hold PLAYER RAN events when there WAS no gm activity going on, donate RL money to the shard. Ya...those bastards. That outta teach em.

If I had to bet, I'd bet that it was mistakenly reapplied/turned on during this patch on August 13th:
