I sniped? there was a bid 6 minutes before my "snipe". Come on Mort. And this has been a bidding war since my first bid.

Re: [SELLiNG] - Potted Plants [OVER]
I assumed I won when I bid 4 minutes before the marked end time. Everything after that I thought was trolling so I played along. Ya he reserves the right to do whatever, I just didn't understand why even put an exact set end time/date knowing that if people keep bidding your not going to uphold that set time. I'm still not sure if the terms are going to be upheld as they stand. I'd rather sit it out. My loss.Stonewilled wrote:MortiKi wrote:Congrats Stonewilled!
and thank you, to everyone else, for participating in this auction.
This sounds like it marks the end of an auction to me. I really don't understand why this has been reopened. If people wanted to bid more they had every opportunity. There were many hours after the final bid of 960k with no bid. And now because someone was tired and went to sleep we are reopening this? I am extremely dissatisfied with the way this is proceeding but whatever.

I also didn't know for sure if it was an end time or an extended to prevent sniping(as ALL auctions should be)...i mean seriously guys, the seller isn't out to please people by letting them get a good deal on an item at the last minute...they are out to SELL their goods for as much as they can get out of them. It just so happens, when you don't know what people are willing to pay, you have to put it in an auction type of format...but it's definitely not supposed to be to please the buyer with a "good deal" or "set rules".
This isn't a professional auction house with a supreme court that votes on conduct, it's a forum dedicated to selling your wares because it's too hard to sell them in game. The seller should have every right to do whatever they want, whenever they want, it's THEIR item.
With that being said...I do not think it's in good nature to declare someone a winner and then go back on that, however Mortiki did state that he posted that before he had read everything that went on, and after reading, decided he ended the auction too early based on peoples sleeping schedules/work schedules etc. And others not knowing it the bidding was still open or not, so everyone has the exact same chance to bid now, noone is at an advantage or disadvantage, if you want the item, bid on the item.

Sleeping schedules...yes...not a joke. Some people go to bed at a normal bedtime for 9-11 pm, not everyone stays up all night playing UO. Some have to be up for work at 4 a.m., others have to get the kids off to school, that's all i meant, some people didn't have the chance to bid because they were asleep, you can get mad all you want...doesn't change the fact that u won't win this deed.Stonewilled wrote:Seriously?
