I still can't understand if your just being silly? or actually trying to come up with reasons why you should be able to make money being a gold farmer.

Have you seen this news story yet?

Nothing good comes from RMT.

Why don't you go and pretend to be a wizard in our wizard game, and end this discussion.

Oh what a terrible punishment for their crimes.

Besides, my international friendship center is completely voluntary.

Hey, if that's the most profitable thing they can get those prisoners to do more power to them. As long as the government/prison is getting the money and not the individual guards.

As far as Chinese prisons go playing WOW is a pretty good deal. I don't know what anyone is crying on the forums about.

Elderly men still get sent to hard labour camps for openly questioning the entrenched communist party...

How about - if the service in question relates to UOSA then it's allowed. Sound like a fair trade? Also, the relation would be have to be sensible since I know Mens Rea is going to be a pedantic fuckwad and ask if building someone a computer relates to UOSA because UOSA is played on computers.

Mens Rea: Don't be a pedantic fuckwad.

Also, Mens Rea is correct in the whole "you can trade outside of forums, IRC, and game" thing.

Also also, Derrick is not a lawyer, he's an engineer. You can't take every rule apart and interpret every single word like you can with carefully-constructed IRL laws. Again, you're being a pedantic fuckwad by doing so. Also, one of the rules (posted by Nevermore) states that staff may change the rules at any time because they feel like it.

You must not have read the article.

The wow playing was after 12 hours of breaking rocks, and then if they did not meet their gold quota for the night, they were beaten with PVC pipe.

These are not murderer's or rapist,(those are killed in mobile gas chamber vans) they are people saying how awful it is to live in china,.

All I'm saying is if you make any kind of $->Gold<-$ system, you get RTM Crime and suffering. its bad for the shard, and its bad for the MMO community.

What is RTM crime?

The acronym as I understand it mean "release to manufacturing", which has to do with software releases.

I am missing something. Anyone?

If you legitimately want these, that's fine, but don't be a jackass. I'm not going to entering a bidding war with you every time I want to buy something simply because I'm squeezing some entertainment out of our little forum quarrels.
This is crying. Crying because I outbid you on the auction. On the forums. It's been and gone Malaikat.
lol

That was me calling you out for being a little bitch and turning some forum fun into something more serious. You're the one being a child...moron. And thanks for posting it. I was going to spare you some dignity and save it for pm.

I'm not hurting for 3k worth of crap silver swords...

This post is for the win, and makes total sense. How many people have literally sold their time and skills for in game gold without any problems. I think the long and short of it is, as Braden said, if they want to ban you for whatever, they will. If they don't want you on uosa anymore, your gone. Its a "free shard" and completely illegal to boot. IDK why you would want to rub people the wrong way though, especially when you recieve "donations" and other "contributions" to keep the illegally operating shard going.

I'm not sure how the shard is illegally operating. It's actually very legitimate.

We don't ban people, just because we don't like them on Second Age. It's actually been more often the case that we've had to ban people we do like, but that being said I can count on a little more then one hand the players that have been permanently banned from Second Age in the last 3 years. We need to enforce the few rules we have here on Second Age, it's not personal.

I think you should be contacting Amnesty International or the nearest charity or government agency which advocates for internationally accepted human rights to be adopted into Chinese domestic policy. This would help solve the problem you find so very abhorrent, as opposed to making unfounded inferences that the actions of Chinese prison authorities somehow reflect the inherent outcome of RMT in MMORPGs.

Also, if being hit with a piece of hollow plastic pipe is your idea of a grave injustice then I suggest you harden up nancy boy.
