Yet I know there's been plenty of new players in the last couple of weeks alone.. So "nothing" seems to be working slowly but surely. I personally have been voting up the shard every day on all the sites listed on the main page, maybe more people should try doing that instead of complaining about nothing being done. If someone is looking for a UO shard an Second Age is 15th on the list, chances are they aren't going to give it a shot.. Now if it's up in the top 5, there's a good chance it'll get some attention.

The last 3 days alone i have picked up 4 new players and ye know all I do is just offer them a placed small for plain deed price co owned till payed off then full tranfer of ownership

gives them a little home of their own for their stuff. they still gotta work for it to buy it for no profit for me btw so stillt hat feeling of accomplishment. Ive put these people in contact with each other and are hunting together and workign for their smalls

I have done this for many others already as well some have managed to get their own L shape now still visiting the old neighboorhood hunting with the newer players i help out.

Thats all it takes. a few people who dont need to make profit of very new players. Bring some new players together and theyll become friends most times keeping them around in the game


It does not require much effort to keep population we gain anyway with just a little piece of friendlyness

Stop afk macroing things like Fishing and reagent-purchasing to make money.

Stop using 50 dragons at a time and clear out your stable to something reasonable.

Stop hording houses of no significant value. There are less players now than there were 4 years ago, but somehow the entire map is full of houses...

Stop playing 2+ characters at once to archer-bot, fish, mine, buy things, PK people you run into while farming on your blue or scouting.

Stop acting like children in-game.

Stop abusing "help-stuck" when all you really need is a gate from someone.

Stop complaining about events, and start hosting some.

Stop asking staff for prizes for said events. People should want to attend because the event is good. Not for some rare.

Stop refreshing your friends homes.

Stop posting "I'm quitting UOSA and here's why" posts, only to come back and play later.

Stop giving all your things away when/if you quit. The best thing you can do is bank it all, or delete it and remove it from the economy.

If you're going to obliterate complete newbies as a PK, please just res them and leave them be. Take the gold at most and leave everything else.

The bored millionaires who get off on killing population over a dry loot boner are incredibly pathetic.

The population just dwindles in the winter it'll be back in the summer.

The lady of the cold season has great wisdom.
Just follow her guidelines and enjoy a growing pop.
Personal a counts of newbies here and there don't count for that much. Not until you see those SAME newbies months or better yet, years later.
