I've noticed you don't run these any more. I figured the setup/upkeep would get to be too much eventually. Have you considered turning this into a 'for profit' venture? I personally would pay to play more. I even created two new characters with templates specifically built for CTC. It was that fun to me. Maybe I'm in the minority. But, what's it cost to run, and how much time is involved in the setup? Perhaps some of the larger guilds could cover the costs and sponsor the events.

What would it take to get these going again?

Costs about 35k per game to run + whatever rewards.

I have the funds to run it, just not the time right now.

I'm currently training someone to host this event, so the CTC mayhem can continue.

Also I have a plan for a CTC "League" to be set up. Look for updates on that in the future.

What are these guild wars you speak of?

A^V would definitely participate in such an event.

If your guild master can Organize a 5v5 Guild battle, I will host for free.

The game can do up to 10v10 at a time, so feel free to find more then 5 for each team.

I do require advanced notice, as I am a little busy these days. PM on IRC me if interested.

Changed Diplomacy Points: Wall of stone scrolls have been removed and replaced with "Twin Bardys".

Spend 2 Diplomacy points on "Twin Bardys" and your team will receive 2 Power bardys with a tactics range of plus 0 - 20.

I am looking to host one of these as early as tomorrow night 8-9pm Server time. (say !time in irc to see what the server time is)

Added an exiting new feature to the game, as seen in the original post...
Rose wrote:Prize Pool...

Each player on the winning team will receive a special prize at the end of each game. In the past I have given out my own silver (one per player), and will continue to do so along with other prize options. Winning players will choose one of the prizes from the current prize pool as seen below.

Current Prize Pool:
* 1 Silver
* 8k Gold
* 1 high end Vanquishing weapon (Choose between Archery, Swords, Fencing, Macing)
* 800 Ingots (All types excluding Valorite and Verite)

Prizes are in limited supply.
