That's why you do 24 hours after the last bid. People have actual lives, you could have made over a mill more at least on the red flask.

Re: Cavewight Loot Auction----->OVER/PENDING
At first I was going to end the auction at 9p.m. giving someone a chance to snake an item.
Robbbb suggested I end each item auction at least an hour after or 24 hours after the auction ended.
I took his suggestion and posted on Thurs that any item that goes without bid for more than an hour after auction closed would be over.
I never accepted any p.m. buyouts or trades.
I posted if there where any questions or concerns let me know...... More than once.
The auction is over and the winners are posted on the original post.

Re: Cavewight Loot Auction----->OVER/PENDING
I sent this at like 4pm today. I'd like to know if I won the scale, as I said I'd go up to 3 mill for it contingent on being outbid (which I was).Capitalist wrote:Subject: Cavewight Loot Auction ends tonight !
I'll go up to 2.3 mill in silver on the green flaskDrunk Ninja wrote:Up for auction is five items from Cavewight idoc. Bid on each item separate. Minimum bid increments of 5k. Auction ends Fri 11/22 at 9 p.m. central standard time.
Current leaders. Lot bids will not be accepted
Item # 1 Red Flask Bee at 200 silver which equals 4 mill
Item # 2 Green Flask Naljier at 1.6 mill
Item # 3 Potted Tree cxtpang at 300k
Item # 4 Scale Liquid Fire at 2 Castle deeds
Item # 5 Logs Dyne at 1.55 mill
Bid on each item individually. Be clear on what you are bidding on and the amount.
Excepting silver at 20k per.
After the auction ends at 9p.m. any item that sits for more than an hour with no bid will go to the winner.
If there's any questions about this let me know.
2.6 on logs
3 on scale
*contingent on being outbid. I won't be here for the auction conclusion. Please don't manipulate the situation.

Re: Cavewight Loot Auction
This would have been a perfect time for someone to request I end this 24 hours after each bid.... Nobody said anything so I stuck with the plan.Drunk Ninja wrote:The auction ends at 9. anyone can bid on any item after 9 but as soon as an item goes stagnant for an hour that item auction is over.
So if you bid on Item #3 at 8:40 and auction ends at 9 someone has until 10 to bid. If someone out bids u at 9:50 then you have an hour to out bid them back. This can go on all night.
Questions? Concerns? Lemme know.
I declared the winners off the public bids that were made during the final hours.
I don't think a p.m. contingency plan is fair to players that were bidding publicly.
Red flask winner/sold is satori....Green flask winner/pending is Naljier.....Potted Tree winner/pending is Dyne....Scale winner/sold is Liquid Fire.....Logs winner/pending is Capitalist.

Re: Cavewight Loot Auction----->OVER/PENDING
If it makes you feel better about the situation I was willing to go up to 4.2mil on the scale, but I am glad he honored only public bids.

Re: Cavewight Loot Auction----->OVER/PENDING
I agree with the way the auction went. He offered an hour to keep people from sniping. That's more than we could ask for. If you knew you wasn't gonna be able to be on the computer at auction close, you had PLENTY of time to UP your bid instead of trying to be cheap and win it for as cheap as possible. If it was an item you want, BID what you are willing to pay, not the lowest amount you can get it for and that will not happen.

Re: Cavewight Loot Auction----->OVER/PENDING
haha, i wasn't even referring to you as i wrote that, i was referring to anyone who didn't win a bid. But like, if you pm'd him and said you were willing to go to 300 max, but didn't make it public, you coulda just bid the 300 public and it could have won and you would for sure have the item...but since u wanted to save a few coins, you lose the item. That's all i was stating hehe If it's something you want, BUY THAT SHIT, people need to quit trying to save pennies and just pay what stuff is worth to them or not care if they lose by a few higher bids. I guess that's the way of the auction, but this forum site isn't a professional auction house, it's just a way for people to sell their wares easily, there's no set rules except what the seller sets or wants to do, afterall, the items do BELONG to the seller so they should be able to sell them however they want without any backlash or flaming. People trying to get the best possible deal is the problem, just pay what stuff is worth.

Re: Cavewight Loot Auction SOLD
Most of the server births bigger than a flask and smaller than a statue or cannon are valued at 2 million to 2.5. To see a bid of 3 million or more on a book or anything around that size range, it doesn't mean the item went up in actual value. It just means that it has been a while sinc ethese things were available , so they really want them now. This stuff was hoarded for so long, no telling how long it would be before it is sold again.
Before cavewight bought a bunch of things up, everything but his two statues were being sold back and forth every month.
TLDR: if you got a bid of 2 million for a very small item; you weren't being lowballed. You actually got the bid of the actual value of the item. If you got a higher bid, you are very fortunate that the bidder just absolutely wants to win.
