This is not an issue of being a mindless automaton. It has to do with being thankful for having a free shard with a ruleset that attracts a niche player base. All of your cries about low population and shard death will fall on deaf ears, because there will always be those niche players who love UOSA for what it is.

If you're unhappy with UOSA, that's your problem. Not UOSA's.
You dont have to make excuses or attempt to make me feel like im a unique little snowflake. Its obvious that nobody wants to come together period.

This type of shard attracts griefers, plain and simple. Griefers arent thankful and they dont care whats on the shard, so long as they have their tools.

Im not crying and my pointing out the honest truth will fall on no ears eventually, then sadly ill get a delightful chuckle at the irony of whose crying then. I dont know how to be more clear about this.. I simply dont care about UOSA, I wanted some UO fun and im getting it. When it dries up, I wont be hanging on just to IRC warrior like these "niche players" who love UOSA do. But a shard like this wont attract a healthy, non weird, community. Thats the bottom line. If something with the capacity to be progressive comes along.. Those nichers will be just as gone as me.

Squirm, get mad at me, do whatever you need to.. But it wont change the fact AT ALL.

Im very sorry. Good luck.

(Im also sorry I have to textually baseball bat your nutsack again, instead of helping you save your favorite shard)

I think you'll find that while people on here are quick to jump at the opportunity to say Not Era Accurate(NEA), they can have civil discourse if you are specific enough in your requests. The single greatest downfall of this entire thread is that civil discourse ceased nearly at the start due to a vague topic and little or no thought placed into the subject.

Likely, if you approached with something constructed reasonably and that was not terribly intrusive on era mechanics, you would likely be able to have a progressive discussion. For instance:
Title: Leather Dye Tubs
I feel that while the leather dye tub was not era accurate, having one entered as a high level silver item could be beneficial to tailors, guilds, and the shard as a whole. In order to prevent the shard from becoming a technicolor rainbow of strange looking leather armor, the colors could be restricted and dye tubs may only be re-dyed with a special dye, also costing silver. I feel this is significantly less damaging than some of our current implementations of neon sandals and neon blessed masks. Do you think this may be possible?

Approaching a subject in a similar fashion will have more people collaborating on whether it should be considered even if NEA, and to what end or effect it has on the shard as a whole. Trolling is always fun, and I do it a lot, but if you are earnest in your attempt to see change that is reasonable and productive in your view you need to honor the structure of the shard and give specific details and highlight that you know the benefits and hazards of what you are proposing.

Merry Christmas, my gift to you is that I will not troll today and spare you the embarrassment.
