UO Second Age

First off, I've never played a warrior type character before - strictly tank mages, but I've been creating a 7x gm warrior and am interested in trying to make him as diffocult as possible to kill. With that in mind, I'm wondering if anyone has done any sort of research to figure out the best armor combo with zero dex loss.

Thinking off the top of my head, I'm guessing it's a close helm, studded gorget and ring hands, arms, chest, and legs. I'm hoping somone here has figured it out and set me straight.

think full chainmail and studded gorget with a helms base ar (sheild if applicable) plus the bonuses applied to magic as depicted in this guide

did they ever fix the chain chest + ring arms bug?

Dunno. If not, here's a good combo.
Chain shirt, chain legs, ring gloves, studded gorget, close helm.

With a good set of magic armor and protection jewelry you can get some pretty massive ar.

Daemon Armor is something you would decorate your house with.

speaking of armor. Was it not capped on osi? I can't recall. It is just retarded it seems for a vanq to hit someone who is loaded up on ar for less than a gm katana would a normal suit. A vanq is suppose to be a vanq imo.

repair your weapon.

a vanq still does great dmg against ar, but high magic lvl inflated AR, say 43+, starts cutting into dmg taken noticeable, but not exagerated, but it's working as intended.
that amount of ar is difficult to reach without a shield and not something you run into to often.

true enough. I asked about the cap though cause I did run into someone who boasted an 80ish Ar rating. Felt like I had a gm dagger most the fight.
