Pet Loyalty accuracy

Here is info on the Taming archive with regards to a patch on 1/24/2000:
http://www.tamingarchive.com/updates/000124.php
Secondly, failed commands will drop a pets loyalty much faster now. A side effect of this seems to be that overall, it is much more difficult to control a dragon in the first place if your taming is low. I have heard reports that failed commands will drop a pets loyalty as much as one whole level.
Currently on UOSA, pet loyalty drops one whole level on a failed command. I've tested this 13 times with a Wonderfully Happy pet - I command it at WH and if it disobeys I use Animal Lore and check it again, and 13 out of 13 times its loyalty was then Extremely Happy.

Clearly from the quote, it appears that pre-1/24/00, pet loyalty did not drop a full level upon a failed command. I don't know what the *right* amount to drop was (or, possibly, the right percentage-of-a-chance-of-dropping), but it looks like in our period a failed command dropped by far less than one level.

I belive that anything less that 100% loyalty is not Wonderfully happy, I will check though.

OK cool, so you're saying that the level drop of failing commands sort of looks like this:

Wonderfully Happy
Extremely Happy
Extremely Happy
Extremely Happy
Very Happy
Very Happy
Very Happy
Happy
Happy
etc.

I'll try to check this in practice. It's a little tougher to get samples to confirm than moving from Wonderful to Extremely, but I will do my best.

Post what you find... Im one of those that think the taming fixes cut too deep. Any info would be great..

(100/100 shouldnt have drags failing so often on simple follow and transfer commands IMHO)

You fed them incorrectly, and you were made aware of what you were doing wrong. You claimed that something changed in the control chances, and were told that it did not. Beyond that, your post was just complaining.

On the other hand, I repeatedly tested, logged my results, and found documentation that did not coincide with my findings. I was made aware of a particular reason that may reconcile my findings with this shard's code, and I offered to test further.

All i needed to say was " a couple commands and then i start failing" and the point was made. I don't have time to sit and test every little thing about the crap...that's kinda why this forum is here. To tell someone to check up on it.

I took you a few days to do all of that? good lord. Your brain must hurt.

This shard is a collaboration between staff and players, I appreciate your concern about failure to follow up, but we'd need a full time paid staff to keep up with all the issues raised in these forums, most bugs are diagnosed by players, and a full bug report in the bug reports section is usually the place to post issues like this. Reports are important, but we do not warranty that someone else will pic up the ball and run when an issue is reported; we are a highly dedicated, but small community.

In the end, the goal is to fix all issues, however there are active and confirmed issues that have been active for some time. The more specific information that can be given on an issue, and the more collaboration there is on that issue, the more likely we can fix it in an efficient and timely manner.

Basically be patient, especially if you're too damn lazy to help solve the problem anyways..

I'm not lazy...i have a full time job and when i'm not at work i casually play to relax. Even when i am playing i might be working on the computer in the back ground. Any other time i'm tired or my butt is numb and i need to do something besides sit here :)

I bring people to this server quite a bit, and i feel that it is quite enough work on my part keeping them here with the blatant grief/scamming.

I figured Mikel would check up on it considering he whined that i didn't give a full report on every intricate detail of the skill. Not everything here has to be a fight.

Robot, I really don't know what your problem is. I answered your last post, or at least the part of it I knew the answer to (the feeding issue). And in this post, I explained my findings and the statistics (13 out of 13, the link to the taming archive post) right off the bat. What more can I do?

My response was toward alatar for calling me lazy for not doing what you did.
