Instruments and "harmful" items as loot.

For ideas on how to make Second Age a better shard. Can it get any better? Maybe.

Instruments and "harmful" items as loot.

Post by Fwerp »

I do not remember instruments dropping (often at least) as loot, nor do I think that jewlery/clothes of mage's bane/evil/etc dropped with any frequency. In fact, magic clothes were exceptionally rare, though magic masks (such as magic deer masks/tribals etc) were relatively common.

Anyone else have this perception?

I believe the excess instrument loot is a leftover from when they dropped as slayer instruments.

Slayer instruments? What was that? An ESP Jeff Hanneman Signature model lute?

No man, it's the Kerry King BC Rich KKV Signature V lap harp.

Lap harps are for girls. Lutes are where it's at!

This is correct. I think they're hardcoded into the loot packs. It's probably possible to take them out but it's not really worth the effort in my opinion. Derrick's got plenty of other things to work on =P
