UO Second Age

OK... i believe that the shard would thrive on a couple of things... such as...

1) Poker tables (under the artists guild, NE of brit bank) 2k smallest buy in, 50k largest
2) New CTF arena!!!! make a custom arena that has many unique things
3) Team deathmatch...

With these 3 things it adds excitment and another demnsion to the game.. if people get board of killing ect they can play poker, join new and fun events and the shard can grow...

great suggestions but as you can see the shard is growing BWAHAHA

We are working on a few different new games that should create more diversity when holding events. In addition to Bagball, we have two other games that we are currently working on implementing to the rotation of events plus. And don't worry, there will be many more to come after that as well.

Please God do not add poker. Where does texas hold'em fit into the realm of UO? No where! I hate shards that put poker on them, it's ridicolous. Please do not put this in. If people want to go play poker, go play other shards or download the 2,000 poker programs already out there.

Oh yeah and CTF and Deathmatch fit more into the realm of UO. You don't think they had card games in medieval times? Poker has origins back to the 15th century.

True but the difference is CTF and Deathmatch last 10 minutes max. Poker always brings in people that sit at the table all day and do nothing but horde money and bring nothing to the shard.

At least CTF & Deathmatch encourages pvp, group cooperation, and helps build player skill. These areas are also in green acres which doesn't effect the regular world that we all play in.

Yeah, I agree with Max, Poker doesn't belong here. I don't like how people can just play poker and not do any "UO" stuff to get their money. It is easy enough to run a poker client alongside UO eh?

think people just sit there and make money its called a gamble... if had people sit there and go from 100k to 750k then loose every penny of it, its a gamble you win some you loose some.... and obviously if that person is sitting there all day taking peoples money then obviously SOMEONE is loosing it, its not like its generating more money like monster spawn does, and a small portion of the winnings can stack into a jackpot thus ANOTHER GOLD SINK

Yes, I realize it is a gamble, and that the money is changing hands from player to player, but what I mean is that those players should be out doing UO stuff to stimulate the player economy; getting resources, making goods, consuming player made goods etc...

how do u think the people get the money to play poker... they provo, tame, kill, pk ect... and with this money some people like to get togather and play poker... a good way to make money and have fun at the same time...

all of these are very good arguements perhaps we should leave it to one table were the minimum buy in is 10k and the max is 50k that way people arent makeing 200k in one shot
