UO Second Age

Now I know there was only one CUB on OSI. However, even though we are extreamly era accurate we do have events that hand out trophies. That is not era accurate, but its somthing that makes the shard more fun. CUB is also an event, so wouldnt it be alright to be a little leinent on it? Many people such as myself were not here for the first CUB and I know its somthing that I would really really love to do, and I dont think it would hurt era accuracy seeing as how its an event with prizes, which is somthing that is era accurate. Maybe even we could do a CUB once a year? Sort of bring the whole shard together towards one goal, I think it would be great for the community. What do you guys think?

Yeah but we're more like a Groundhog Day of T2A. So theoretically, we should have CUB every few months, like Bill Murray keeps waking up to the exact same thing every day.

If it would shave off a few seconds from our save times that are now getting closer and closer to 5 seconds, YES.

When I came here the save times were like 3.2 seconds. They are now 4.8.

most servers this size have a 45 second save time.

I think its somthing that can only help the shard. Events like that bring people today and increase shard activity. I know if CUB were in effect i'd be playing a LOT, and several others would be too. Which would increase economy, pvp, people trying to steal cub items. I think it would be great.

what kind of reward do you get from cubbies?

There are people hoarding crap already waiting for the next one.

There is no reason not to have one at least once a year and make it very unexpecting or random when it opens.

CUB is one of the only era accurate events and should definitely be done once a year especially since we get a lot of new players. Nothing wrong with having vets be able to do multiple CUBs just a benefit of sticking with the shard (I was not around for first CUB).

It's just plain stoopid to have items like CBDs be practically ungettable and 300k+ for hair dyes. CUB helps balance this and should make more realistic pricing on these items.

Anyone who says otherwise is simply hording CUB items and charging ridiculous prices for them. You know who you are.

I think having CUB once a year would not devalue these items a whole lot. Sure it would some, but there will always be new players inbetween CUB's that want CUB items. Plus people will not just hoard stuff, a lot of people spend a lot of money crafting things for CUB.

All this discusion is non-sense. I have been here 4 months I have hair dye on two characters. Hair dye on osi went for more than it did here on most large shards. Running multiple CUB's is stupid and it isnt era accurate. Sure alot of people on OSI would have loved multiples, but it was a reward for players who had been with the game and it created a good economy. I did not reap the benefits of this one, but I did on OSI. When I first started here I was hoping they would having another, but that was selfish and stupid. If you want the items from CUB, buy some trophies and get them or win some just as everyone else has.

Derrick needs to announce that there will never been another so people will throw away useless things.
