If I believe someone is using one, but am unable to prove it... how are we supposed to get rid of these people?

I fight this guy, the whole time he doesn't fight back. Runs for miles on and. I hear music that i've never heard before playing. Finds a place to hide, a mongbat attacks me and I kill it. He comes out of hiding and in under 3 seconds has an explo-ebolt-purp pot-hally hit and kills me. Beautiful combo, used by most but this guy does it quicker than i've seen anyone else do it before.

I believe it was a script... that eerie music didn't make me feel good either.

I also got this message when I tried to get to the forums immediately after i died.. starting to think it was more than just the players skill that had a hand in my death.

Are you seriously somehow trying to link what happened in game with a MySQL error on the forums?

That had nothing to do with it... I just thought I would put that there in case i wasn't the only one who was having this problem.

It was the time it took to get all of those spells and hits off. Takes .5 seconds to cast Exp - .5 seconds ebolt - purp pot has a 3 second timer and his hally hit is instant.

He got it all done within under 3 seconds.

hmm, If i had to guess. He ran a macro like so:

-Prep Purple potion (at this time you have no idea whats happening.)
-Precast explosion (you may not know about this either)
-Manually start attacking you but hasn't hit you yet.
*At this time, 3 things could be going on that you have no idea about*
-You are hit with explosion while the purple pot was being thrown (BOOM)
-Casting of Ebolt begins, you get hit by it, you are approached, and the hally smacks you.

It's very feasible that the part that you SAW was under 3 seconds.

Of course, that's just my prediction of what happened.

Read your own post. You're talking about getting that error immediately after you died, and that there must be something more than skill blah blah blah. You just worded it weird. I got the impression you thought the two were somehow linked.

He could have started the explo pot while hidden, cast explo, throw explo pot as soon as he targets you with explo, quick ebolt and follow up with a hally hit? Yeah, he probably used a macro. It could be done under three seconds. However, he didn't do anything illegal.

Clearly because you think they're cheating we must ban them.

explosion, energy bolt, hally hit, explosion pot? Sounds to me you should have left him hide in peace. Or had magic reflection up.

I am not saying let's ban them... I guess what im saying is actually a question, and it would be how are we supposed to know if someone is or is not using some form of cheat?

I did not make an accusation, I simply wanted to give you an example of what i just went through. Clearly we should ban you from using forums because you're an instigator.

I was there from beginning to end, saw the exp and all. I can honestly say that its the first time i've ever died that quick on any template.

I always keep a journal open and take a look at what happened once I'm either dead or safe. When people are new to PvP, like I am right now, they don't really slow down their mind enough to see what's happening in the moment. So looking backwards, when you settle down, the journal is a good way to reconstruct what happened and see where you went wrong.

Meh, doesn't take any macro at all, just a hotkey for last target:

Prep Explosion Potion
Precast Energy Bolt
Equip Hally (hally hits are a dice roll, 50/50 if you had a weap equipped or gm wrestling)
Unequip Hally, Target Energy Bolt
Target Explosion Pot
Loot and lawls

Facts:
- Sixth circle spells take 1.75s to cast.
- A non-fast casted spell adds an additional 0.5s delay before you cast another spell.
- Explosion spell and potions have a 3.0s delay until damage is done.
- Energy Bolt spell has a 1.0s damage delay.

Scenario:
- Cast and prep explosion until you release. - 3.0s until it explodes.
- Use purple potion and hold - 3.0s until it explodes.
- Cast energy bolt and release. - 1.25s until both explosions detonate and add the damage delay of 1.0s until energy bolt deals damage.
- Run up releasing purple potion and hitting with a hally. <--- Owned by a perfect synchronized method.

All of this can be loaded into a Razor script if someone really wanted to besides running up with a hally...

See? That's the type of automation that's sucking the soul out of "playing" UO. One macro will can perfectly pull off an "I win" quickly and consistently. Just dump out damage and loot.
Thank you Razor, for taking the skill, and finesse out of gameplay.

GStr Pot + Magic Reflect + Reactive Armor... what's the problem.
