UO Second Age

Hello everyone, I am Zorce. I fell across this shard 2 days ago and I must say so far I am impressed. I have seen alot of era accurate things just in the couple of days I have been here, so much, in fact that I get that old school feel like when I first started playing UO when it was at its peak of greatness which we call second age. From what I see, I am here to stay and will voice my mind to help keep my new home true to the era.

I am an old uo pirate and looking for some pirate friends or guild to hook up with. Right now I am a noob char with no money hardly any skills and loving it lol. Anyways, thanks to the creator and staff that have made such an excellent shard and I will see you all ingame.

Do you mind telling us how you came to find this shard and your play history? Are you from other free shards? Did you google up UOSA? That info would be very useful.

Like you, I am here to play the old game when it was at it's peak and before it became an item based game.

Sure.
I started playing osi when T2A was published. Lasted for a good while even through UOR and even LBR even though I was bummed that UO was going the path it was going. AOS came out and I was done. Played Rebirth and many other free shards but wasnt quite happy. The UOGamers team picked me up as a GM and I staffed a "T2A Shard" known as Divinity. Staffed UO Gamers Divinity for several years and new staff came in with new ideas that leadership took to which was anything but era accurate and it started becoming a hybrid which I didnt like. Gave my resignation and quit UO all together and started playing other games. I have been away from UO for a year or so.

I started getting the urge to play. After playing other games I realized no other game has the housing system or even alot of the ingame systems. You cant see other peoples houses in WOW, or any game like it. You cant camp it while it falls down or fire off an EV in it lol.

Anyways long story short. I went to google and typed in free uo shard, hit the first link which was top 200 list, then saw this shard close to the top and decided to give it a try, and here I am. I like staffing but its more fun to play.

Welcome! Rumor has it that if you take the north east road out of britain (the road north of east brit bank) and follow the road up to a small fort you may find a few pirates.

Although, make your presence known as these pirates may attack you unless you make it clear you wish to join their ranks... Thats all just a rumor i heard though.

I actually played on Divinity for awhile and totally understand where your coming from. I loved the old school feel of Divinity, especially after playing on Hybrid for awhile...However, Divinity only had about 100 players online at the most, and its almost impossible to enjoy a shard when its completely dead.

There were other things that I didn't like about the shard, but I won't go into them, because its not important. The good news is, once I realized that an old school server like Divinity existed, then I started looking for another, and I stumbled across this one too. So glad to have you here, I hope your stay is long and pleasant, and if you need anything to get started, throw me a shout-out, and I will help you out in any way that I can.

Based on your history, I can echo other player's comments and say this shard is pretty much perfect for you. You might as well just consider yourself a fixture here.

I didn't feel like making a new thread for basically the same reason, but I've been on the server for about four days now. Placed my first house last night, and it felt just like the one I put down in 1998. Even placed it with the same friend. Having a great time playing the UO that I remember.
