I noticed that there seems to be a speed inaccuracy on this shard. Mounts were never slower/faster than any of the other ones. Oh well.

Past experience has shown this is clearly not the case. A newly bought horse out of the stables doesn't run nearly as smoothly as one that has received combat training. This shouldn't be a factor at all.Derrick wrote:All players on mounts or off move at exactly the same speed under no lag conditions. If you find that you are moving slower on some mounts than other, it's due to graphics rendering in your client based on the complexity of the drawing, and not the mount itself.
Was there ever a point in UO when they adjusted the speed to anything?Derrick wrote:Adjusting. Speed was off too.
Thanks!
Maybe this should be entered in the bug reports forum then.Werthers Chewbackas wrote:Past experience has shown this is clearly not the case. A newly bought horse out of the stables doesn't run nearly as smoothly as one that has received combat training. This shouldn't be a factor at all.
This is a quote from another topic which is in no way related to this thread.Werthers Chewbackas wrote:Oh, and:

No.
The only difference I've noticed in store-bought horses and those that have been ridden for a while is the amount of stamina seems to be increased because of their stat chagnes. I've never noticed a speed change.Werthers Chewbackas wrote: ...A newly bought horse out of the stables doesn't run nearly as smoothly as one that has received combat training. That's what I understand too Mike. If I remember the story correctly, llama anaimation isn't as detailed as horse animation so there are a few frames missing when llamas run. On the server side though, both creatures advance at the same rate, on just looks faster.Mikel123 wrote:To me, sometimes llamas *look* like they're running faster, but I think it's because of the animation.
