when cooking a stack of something it only cooks one item at a time, this is very bad with fish sticks or meat. Can it be fixed so that it works more like smelting metal and you can cook the stack not just one at a time?

Actually im pretty sure its supposed to work like smelting Ore. Not that im complaining because its a PITA to unstack one at a time to raise skill.

This was done intentionally for era accuracy. I believe you are correct however that at some later time (maybe even within the era) it changed so that the whole stack was cooked at once.

I was actually coming to post about this as well. I remember it being that the entire stack was cooked as well. Also it doesn't seem like any of the cooking tools can be crafted/bought from vendors. I could be wrong, but I cant seem to find them.

There weren't any cooking tools in this era. You dbl-click the food and target an ingredient or "heat source".

That's what I thought but I wasn't positive. I remember them being added I just didn't know when.

Playing from the beginning to the end of T2A, I can assure you that stacks of food were cooked all at once. Only failures caused food stacks to decrease by one at a time. The "one at a time" cooking system is a UOR (or later) system that is corrupting the T2A accuracy.

Ahh, yep. That just triggered a memory. Right, it did cook all at once and you lost one if you failed.

I'll fix this asap. Thanks.
