UO Second Age

Anyone know the benefits of having high dex? Does it modify swing speed, and by how much and any other uses? Thanks for any input

A higher DEX means a faster weapon. Conversely, if your DEX is at, say, 34/100 because of a mace weapon or a lot of running on foot then your weapon swing will be much slower. You won't be able to walk through other players or monsters if you're at less than full DEX so it's easy to get boxed in/surrounded if you don't have any food or potions. It does affect skills to a certain degree up until they're GMed. You'll have a much higher Lockpicking skill at, say 20 Real (might be around 30-40ish shown) if you have 100 DEX so that's another benefit.
