REPORTED ISSUE:
Hiding Skill Stuck at 97

ISSUE DETAILS:
Character Zauberine is not gain in hiding skill after week of macro'ing (Use skill hide, wait 11 seconds, loop).

STEPS TO RECREATE:
Bug may be unique to this character. Hiding skill for my other characters can raise to 100.
Skill locks set appropriately for hiding skill gain, use skill hiding on loop every 11 seconds.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
Skill gain.

Drop that item id for stealth. You'll most likely gm hiding and have a fun char to play with.

Hiding gain is very situational. It matters who is in the vicinity. Where are you using the skill?

not sure if this helps.
when i hit 85 hiding i put on some cheap gear to get like 15 AR then i go out of a guarded area.
macro over night.
found the gains better.
(minoc along the waters edge just out of town to the south, b4 the miners camp)
never had any problems there

I've GMed hiding... 5 times now and never had a problem.

I GM'd hiding on a character just only the other day.

In general, everywhere really. In dungeons, in town, in hut, walking around, etc... Based on your comment, I'll set up a macro and auto-follow a NPC tavern keeper (the Shattered Skull - Skara Brae) and see if there is any difference.

Like I said, I have plenty of other characters that have GM'd hiding with no difficulties or caveats in raising skill. Definitely why I suspect my character may be bugged or stuck.

BTW, after I noticed hiding was stuck I GM'd ID and detect hidden to see if I could still GM skills in general. Those two skills raised easily with a macro.

I'm hesitant to do so, but would it make sense to lose some skill in Hidding then try to raise it again?
