I could figure out how to log in i downloaded mondains legacy and updated it and i also changed the server file how do i go about creating an account please help

Do not change the server file, use Razor or ConnectUO to connect to the shard.

then use:
Server: uosecondage.com
Port: 2593

Make sure you have Disable Encryption checked.

I get stuck at "verifying account". No fail or success message, it just stays there indefinately

This could be a client version problem. If you patched all the way up, you may need to reinstall and stop the patch around 5.0.9.

What client version do you have? It should show at the bottom of the login screen.

I had 4.0.0a, then tried to patch upto 5.0.9, but it stops at 4.0.0p. Reinstall?

When it stops, run the file "UOPatch" seperately. Try restarting the PC.

UO introduced a new patch system (big window) and sometimes the patcher stuffs up. If you are using Vista, you need to be administrator and set the program to run so.

If that doesn't work, restart the PC, uninstall UO, restart again, then reinstall from scratch.

You have Patch Client Encryption selected in Razor? And Use OSI encryption should be unchecked.

Also, you are using 2d client? Either should work, but I'd recommend the 2D

I am at client version 5.0.8.4 and have had no problems connecting to -any- non AoS server.

So THAT's why! I took "Make sure you have Disable Encryption checked." to mean "uncheck patch client encryption".
