Anyways to disable text/say and bind it to a key instead?

Post by Obfuscq »

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to disable chat until a specific key stroke activates it. I got used to other mmo's where I would have to press 'Enter' to activate chat if I wanted to communicate with others. I want to be able to bind actions/spells to regular keystrokes without the key actually being typed into the chat. Is there anyways to disable regular chat and instead bind it to a key such as 'Enter' or 'Alt+s' for example?

In other words, for example, I want to disable the ability to type "vendor buy" until a specific key, such as "Enter", is pressed.

Thanks.

With the help of Razor you can.

Assign ALT-S to "Enable/Disable Razor Hotkeys".

Next, assign your regulars keys, a z e r t y and so on to other Razor macros like spellcasting.
Any key not assigned will be send to the client regardless. So, if you really want to disable your whole keyboard until Alt-S is pressed you should create dummy macros and assign hotkeys to them.

When Razor hotkeys are enabled Razor will execute the assigned action.
When Razor hotkeys are disabled the keys will be send to the client and you can type.

Use Alt-S to toggle between the two states.
