well i found a program called "UO SOUND-SWAPPER" and it extracted the sound files from the sound.mul file ... 856 wav files to sort thru. the old liche noices were in there [#412-416] but none of the newer ones were. so i dunno if "UO SOUND-SWAPPER" is just too outdated to pull the new sounds or if theyre coming from another file. in the sound.dev file theres 2 clusters of the [#412-416] im guessing for liches and LL. the corresponding #s as to the grouping are 1001-1005 and 1149- 1153 dunno if thall help ne1 help me better.

but i was thinking maybe that all i need to do is find the right spots to plug the # into and itd be fixed. so if ne1 has an older client ... possibly in the 4.x.x.x range ... go into ur uo dir and see if ur #s r the same as mine. i know its a lot to ask but itd only take a couple mins ... big #s on the left and the small #s are in {} just to the right. mine opened in notepad and all ya gotta do is hit ctr+f to look for ne of the #s.

dont really know what im doing or if messing w. that file will do ne thing so im basically just guessing and chkng

i know u guys recommend 5.0.8.3 ... what would happen if i ran somthing older say in that 4.x.x.x range?

Those scond set of sounds are horrible. Ive hever heard then before. The UltimaOnlineT2A.5.0.8.3.rar file available at http://uo.culler.net/downloads/ It my patched install and I don't hear those new sounds. You must have some remnants of an ML client in there somewhere.

I have the original T2A CD. I'll make an image and see if we can get it available for download.

These sounds work for me.. All I did was install off the UOT2A CD.. Delete everything from AoS & forward, or just reinstall from T2A.. I got the old school graphics, sound fx, and the works..

found the program here http://sorea.profitux.cz/patching/#mulpatcher at the very bottom of the page

deleted 0x3E9, 0x3EA, 0x3EB, 0x3EC and 0x3ED

hope this helps some1 else =]
