House placement

hi... just saved enough money and bought a tower deed, however, I ran through the whole mainland but can't place it successfully, here I got several questions:-

1. In which position should I stand when placing the house?
2. Is the position of the preview image accurate?
3. Any tips for placing such big house?

Thanks in advance for all your input...cheers

If your game window is in the top-left corner of the UO window (hard to explain, sorry), the preview is accurate.

Put the target cursor where you want the middle of the front step(s) to be. I'd suggest standing to the south of it.

You may not find a tower space, but if you look in a few days, one should open up.

I have runes for a few spots that can fit a tower, I just can't be assed to maintain more property. I can sell you one for 20,000.

The "ghost" image is usually of by 1x1 tiles, south and east, so always place the image 1 tile south, and 1 tile east of where you actually want it. My advice, go on test and mess around placing houses to get a feel for it.

There are also certain things (puddles, shrubs) that not only can be placed over, but have a 5 or 6 tile boundary to prevent placement near these items.

What I always do is grab a 7x7 house, and attempt to place it near any of these items to verify a larger house will fit.
