I did, But my baby is not due till March, so I have time to get into the housing market for a few weeks.
Also, my keep was worth over 5 million in items inside and the house values, to have that drop would have been pretty much a shame. I sold it to ensure if I returned I would have money to re-locate and start playing again!
If I can place a few keeps and towers along the way to increase my wealth, then why not!?!

Noob question: how will you do the transaction? I'm an old T2A player but I never bought a house from another player before the securing tranfer added with Renaissance.

It's unsafe. One person has to trust the other. So you'd drop, say, a tower deed and a 7x7 deed (deed + 43,800). He'd pick 'em up. Then he'd transfer the tower to you. It doesn't use the trade window.
