Hail all!

Could anyone please fill me in on where Nightmares spawn nowadays? I have roamed the whole landmass south of Papua - and frequently visited the oasis - with no luck for about two weeks now.
Do they spawn *that* rarely?
Am I just unlucky?
Did I look in the wrong place?

They spawn randomly but it's a pretty big gap. It seems something like a 12 hour respawn time, maybe longer.

You're in the right spots, a mare just wasn't spawned.

shouldn't there also be one in Wind, towards the spawn in the north east of town?

This rate seems not very T2A accurate to me - but then again: I didn´t get to see much of T2A back then, because Renaissance was introduced a few weeks after I joined UO... Anyway, I won´t even bother looking for mares anymore and take my dragons out instead. Hehehe.

(And thanks for the offer to buy one - but I never bought a pet because of the contol issue...)

YOu don't really want complete T2A accuracy for nightmares. You will probably not get one unless you are willing to pay 50-100k if it were entirely accurate. Before if one was on the same server as T2A (stabled at Delucia, or Pap) one would not spawn. You could go months without a nightmare spawn. At least this is a balance creating a little rarity and still allowing the opportunity to tame one.

yes, IIRC, if they're still going for accuracy here, there should be a nightmare spawn in that little green foresty area of Wind in the NE area that you have to ride a teleporter to.

Yeah, there should be, but I checked yesterday, and there are only furry little animals, birds and bunnies and such.
