i'm just wondering what the minimum magery skill is to not fail a recall scroll.

Technically 20 shown, but I wouldnt go lower then 25 perferably a little higher. A scroll casts at two circles lower then it would normally so 40 mage = 4th circle or 20 mage with scroll. You'll fizzle at 20 alot I'd imagine though thats why I say at least 25.

According to the wiki (http://wiki.uosecondage.com/?title=Magery), at 50.1 skill you will never fail a level 2 spell. Since a scroll uses the difficulty of a spell two circles below it, a level 4 scroll should be on the level 2 skill curve. So I'm going to go with 50.1.

agreed 50-55 would be needed to NEVER fail on a recall scroll.

His first post was asking what minimum magery was needed to cast recall off a scroll. He edited it to ask at what point a recall would never fail. That's why I said you'd fizzle alot at 20 real, he didnt mention anything about never failing originally.

I was assuming he wanted the bare bones minimum for a dexxer temp or townie.

You can cast a spell from a scroll that is 2 levels above your magery skill, meaning you may use a mark scroll with as little as 26.1 magery, although it will take several attempts. Most characters should have at least 50 magery however so this is a minor problem. Later on when you have more established characters you can mark runes on your most advanced mage and pass them to your other characters.

That happen:i was macroing healing on my character,and,reached the 60's,i begin casting poison (lvl 3 spell)
at 54 or so shown magery,i havent fizzle a single spell,as long as i could see.(i went from 65 to 80 with 700 nightshade and 2k bandaids)
Also,when i trap pouches (lvl2 spell) on my warrior who has 35 shown magery(without scroll..),he fails just once in a while.Thus i think 35ish should be fine to recall around with scrolls

70-75 magery I would assume.
