Inscription doesn't raise magery??

I am working on a scribe char. Started with 50 inscr/50 magery. I started with scribing e-bolt scrolls. After seeing inscription reach 53, I noticed magery had not moved at all!

I read somewhere that inscription was supposed to raise magery (but I think this was on the current stratics site, so I don't know if this applies to the era).

Can someone verify this? It will be VERY expensive to raise inscription if I need to do magery separately.

I don't believe that Inscription raised the Magery skill during T2A, just as healing does not raise anatomy, and casting spells does not raise Eval Int.

I am almost certain, though could be wrong.

Inscription does not raise magery. You'll want to raise your magery to 66.1 once gains from EB scolls slow dow, which is the minimum for casting level seven spells. Inscribing Flamestrike will get you to GM. I loved working inscription, because once FS scolls started hitting a decent success level, I was making 10-20k profit each night after rebuying my supplies.
