Does wrestling reduce the chance that another player will hit you in melee on this server? I think i read that there was no defencive wrestling or is that something totaly different?

If it does, does it also protect you versus archery?

Wrestling gives you a chance to dodge any type of non-magical attack while your hands are empty.

You have a 50% chance to dodge an attack at 100 wrestling.

I happen to know that a fishing rod makes an excelent wrestling weapon.

Is this before or after they made the change to Magery, (When you have your book equiped it calculates magery for to hit and not wrestling?) or do I need wrestling for a magi?

Without wrestling you will get hit virtually every time by your opponent once you disarm to cast. If you have another weapon style and feel gutsy enough to displace wrestling for anatomy...by all means go for it. Just when you cast and especially in crucial situations when you need to heal you are going to wish you had at least minimal wrestling.

I understand when your hands are empty. It has been many many years since I played the game, but I thought they put in a change to make that not happen. Basicly, when you had your spell book in your equiped, it didn't use wrestling to calculation, it used magery to see if you got hit, or did they never do that?

However they did it, if they ever did it thats not how it works here.

does the 50% thing only pertain to wrestling? or does it pertain to all melee skills?
