UO Second Age

I was in Destard the other day with a friend and he was one hit killed by a dragon that was moving the same speed as me on a mount. After my friend was killed, he magically was insta-rezzed but all his stuff was gone. Then today I was at Ice Fiends and I hear the paralyze sound which was reasonable since I was next to an Ice fiend, but after popping a pouch and being hit by an Ice Fiend several times, I remained frozen and could not move but I could still cast spells. I tried desperately to keep healing thinking maybe my mouse would start working again but I died. As soon as I became a ghost I was magically able to move again. Then I went in irc and asked about that mouse thing and I get a pm saying people have been talking about hacking and doing that to people and that they also have seen people running super speed through Ophidians without getting hit once. Also I hear that some people are making 10 plus accounts to get the trophies from the scavenger hunt. wtf

Is any of this detectable and enforceable by GMs?

The situation described in the beginning of your report is a known encounter with a staff run "scenario" that didn't work out properly, we've spoken with the player involved in that unfortunate mishap and all is well. It's unrelated to any player activity.

Your situation at ice fiends sounds like you desynched, dying will resynch you. It's recommended to have a hot key bound to "Resynchronize Client", which can be found on the hotkeys tab in Razor under "Misc". Teleporting will also re-synch you.

There's no known way to interfere with another players client, if you suspect a network attack though, which is only possible if someone has obtained your IP address it would be highly recommened that you take steps to protect you IP address such as registering an account in WildIRC which masks your IP when you are logged in.

See a similar post in this forum about people running through Ophidians, I think the complaint was that the ophids move too slow.

aye i saw a guy with 20 of the helms, and havnt seen one sold on the forums or irc

The quest can only be pulled a few times a day, just being able to do it with your three legitimate accounts would take quite a bit of time.

We do monitor and ban accounts for violation of account rules, also know as account abuse.

I have heard that you can delete toons and redo the quest.

Yes you can.

Also I believe the first "concern" in the OP was the insta-rez feature.

There is an instant-resurrection feature on UOSA, but it results in a 10% (?) permanent skill & stat-loss. This feature is turned off by default for all players. I think you need page in-game in order to have it available.

This feature does return all items on your corpse once the resurrection is performed.

It was me using my super secret GM powers. So secret that derrick doesn't even know. I just wanted to see the extent of my godliness.

you bought something from someone named two timing willy and things went bad?

idk if it works but he prolly used dye on the tub, kept the window open, and changed the color after u had it

The quest has been up long enough for people to make and delete characters and make new ones on their accounts.
