Question about damaged weapons and bows

Hello,

So my question is about damaged weapons and bows. When these items are damaged, will their damage (that they inflict) be affected as well?

And also, bows can't be repaired right?

Thx!

Correct on both.

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a formula to calculate how much the damaged item can inflict? Also, if bows are affected by this as well, and they are not repairable, the only way to get a full strength bow is to buy a new one?

My understanding is that at the lowest durability level, weapons will do 50% of their normal damage. Given that there's 10 levels of arms lore, I'd assume each drop in the arms lore response correlates with a 5% drop in damage output.

Thought heavy crossbows were repairable, unless it changed recently.

Edit:
I got the link for you

Hmm interesting! I need to try out arms lore some time.

Have another question guys...

Does a bow get damaged from just using it? Or do you need to take damage (hits)? Going to invest in a silver bow but if it wears down and can't repair... hmm!!

They get damaged from simply shooting them; though slow, hard-hitting weapons get damaged at a slower rate than fast weapons (less shots or swings per minute, etc).

Thanks for the quick reply. At this moment I am standing outside a vendor contemplating on buying a 20+ silver force bow for 4k (how's the price?). I need a silver weapon to kill liches for cash, so I'm thinking of this bow as an investment! Found a weaker silver heavy xbow for 1k too...

4k seems a little steep to me, but it's a nice bow. How are you at escaping PKs? If you are good at that, then sure, buy it. I'd pass on the heavy xbow (better price, but they're SO slow for PvM).

I'll check tonight and see if I have any silver bows I can sell you cheaply.

Up to 5k will be worth it.. it will pay for itself in one run to the liches.
