Can you get these on here by killing tailors?

I know I use to do that way back in the day, I just don't know how far back (what era)

yes you can get them from tailors..
This was patched in a while ago.. Unfortunately me and a few others who got the black sandies first wasted the 200 points to get em.. But yes, now you can get them from tailors

1. Yes you can get them from weaver NPC's in the tailor shops
2. They are the most rare sandal color to get, I believe it is a low drop rate. I am not sure though, but it's not as easy to get as dark true red sandals(special dye tub color off artist).

black sandals sell for like 150-200k.
true red(not neon) sandals sell for 40k-50k.

It only makes sense for them to be recievable from tailors. That was the OSI-correct way of getting them.

Any rewards from silver should be either rares you can get in-game from camping era-accurate spawns, or truly unique rares that never spawned on OSI.

Regardless, I tried both the Explo/run and the fire field trick to kill them and my explo was only hitting for like 5 damage and the firefield only for like 1 damage one time. :/


And if the server is osi accurate on blac ksandals from tailors, the spawn rate for black sandals should be the exact same as every other sandal the npc spawns with. Its just, if there are 100 different colours of sandals including black, and the only ones you care about are the black ones, there is only a 1% ish chance of getting them to spawn :>

The vendors should also be wearing them, i hope its not an item that drops in their backpacks.

spawn rate on them is very low, which is good imo. i personally remember pulling 3-5 sandals a week on napa valley. i do not think that type of spawn rate is appropriate for this server. i have probably pulled 20 pairs of pure black shoes that sometimes spawn on them and only 1 pair of sandals. i've killed 100s for months before the patch was put in (just cause nobody was sure if they were spawning and i had to find out) and even more after i was positive they were spawning. i've pulled 100k in gold from killing npcs (20k on one char, take a break for a week or so, another 20-30k another, etc.) while killing for the black sandals.



now looking back on it i probably wasted more time killing npc and should have been farming to buy myself some sandals. they sell relatively cheap here from what i've seen, but do what you want. i've cut back on the amount of time i spend searching & killing for sandals. now i gotta get a cbd

Yea so far I've farmed about 20k worth of gold off cobblers/tailors and ive only seen one pair of black shoes, and no sandals.

Got a ton of other crappy sandals tho!
