Hi all. This is the point:i work enaugh irl,so i dont want to come here and begin to work aswell.
I know 50% of uo is based on gathering of wealth, still i dont found it all that funny.I have a home myself(a small one

and some gold, but now i think i will play the game rather than work on it.
So my question is:wich template is the cheapest to play, but still funny?
Heres what im thinking about:
a combat thief:seems pretty cheap, plus the part of the reequipping is a fun part itself(steal from other players)
a tank:is he effective with just 30 each regs and a gm hally?
a scout:a guy with stealth, tracking, and magery,to do idoc, house looting, corpse looting in dungeons, and such.Maybe the cheapest, but i think u cant simply decide to go in to action whenever u want,u have to wait for the house to dacay or the fool to die.As i say before,i want to play the game, and waiting in the same spot for 2 hours isnt exactly "play".its ok once in a while, but too often it become boring.what do u think about this?
Any other suggestion is welcome.
O,and i want some sort of pvp character, not pvm.(not strictly pvp,but a template that deals with other players in some way)
Thank you all.

any dexer template.
one weapon, one shield, bone armour,50 bandages and you are good to go. cost you 300 gps to full equip

It's cheap until you start PvPing here with it.
Actually, a dexxor is probably the most expensive to play if you try to play on the upper echelons.
So yeah, they are cheap to start off with and probably why people look down on 'em, but once you start adding dp'd weapons, magics, a cashe of potions, etc then the price of a rolling dexxor starts to climb high.
Much more expenseive than a bag of 50 regs, death robe, Jesus sandals, and a hally.

just for your average player not wanting to do anythign fancy dexer is the cheapest, actually more fun than a mage for pvm (i find). For superleetsaucewtfqqbpwntonahotdog pvp then your gona start paying for sure.
Im just talkin a gm katana a wood shield and bandages for some pvm.

Yea because mages drop stuff so fast. It just depends on what you are hunting and what you think is "fun". I just find it so much simplier to carry basic weapons and not having to worry about losing all my good stuff. Fought a theif once and he kept stealing my weapons whenever I would go to cast poison on him. What he didnt know is I had just killed a bunch of npc reds so I had about 7 various axes and swords on me. Everytime he would steal something I would just equip something else. LOL!

quick and easy to replenish.
Basically they are self sufficient. Kill a couple monsters and you will have a weapon, sheer a couple sheep and you will have bandages, kill skeletons and you will have armor. No need for spells, spellbooks, regs, etc. Start with 50 str, 50 dex, 50 swords, 50 healing or something like that and you are gtg.

Macer Medwarrior.
Great 1v1 against any template with exception to parrydexers. You can farm any monster in the game without a problem too. (have 45 intel, bring a magical wizard cap along)

IMO Cheap is not the way to play.
You don't have to play expensive but if you play cheap you're going to lose money.
Think about how many times you would have lived if you had a few cure pots, maybe a heal or 1. Maybe a few refreshes. A dexer without refreshes has less defense than a dexer with 5 refreshes because they will have less offense on a mage. A good strat for a dexer is to get a mage low, then run if you don't wanna fight. Well, if you have 30 stamina because a mage comboed you then you're not going to be hitting very fast at all until you drink a red pot.
The mage will have to cast gheal and while you run away you'll be ahead nicely.
Also, carry at least a force. You can even find cheap powers on vendors.
Carry pouches.
There's no reason to go the cheap way, that's trashy. Show some dignity and carry stuff that will help you survive in pve AND pvp.
