Treasure Map Chests

How long does it take them to decay? This one at location 100 has been there for well over 2 hours. Is this normal?

yeah takes around 4 hours to decay
t-hunters should be destroying their chests before they leave.. it's very rude not to

Yes, please Hatchet your chests, it takes all of 2 seconds to do.

Yes please do, encountered two empty chests over the weekend blocking my maps.

Decay is supposed to be around 2 hours from the time its dug up, but I think the way it works is its 2 hours from the last time someone interacts with the chest.
