For as long as we can all remember, West Britain Bank has been overrun by a plague of thieves! As for our other once just cities, they as well have begun to degrade into madness! The dishonest and inconsiderate push around the good Citizens of Britannia. Many of these unruly Citizens *need* reprimanding, else they will never stop their illegal behavior! Sick of the madness? Sick of getting stolen from while doing your banking? Join The Britannia Police Department!

A few Suggested Officer Templates:

100 MeleeSkill - 100 Tactics - 100 Anatomy - 100 Forensics - 100 Detect Hidden - 100 Healing - 60 Hiding - 40 Magery

100 MeleeSkill - 100 Tactics - 100 Anatomy - 100 Detect Hidden - 100 Healing - 100 Forensics - ~Other~

100 MeleeSkill - 100 Tactics - 100 Anatomy - 100 Detect Hidden - 85 Healing - 90 Forensics - 85 Poisoning - 40 Magery (Or Hiding)

Obviously, there are a number of templates that can be built around Detect/Forensics.

It is important to remember that most Officers never leave town. As townies, we have found magery-related skills only minimally necessary.

Please read the [BPD] Charter to see what is acceptable behavior for an Officer.

Again .. Magery in Town is a Minimal Skill! rarely used by a Detective... Regs from a Fallen Thief from time to time will most likely replenish regs used.

Not necessarily talking about for my Officer but for other characters. Patrolling takes time away from hunting and making money. Besides theives dont really carry regs and if they happen to have some they are probably stolen and wouldnt they be returned to the owner when they die?

Yah - Money shouldn't be all that much of an issue for most players like yourself, Laz. There are plenty of ways to make it while 'on the beat', while also on an alt. *shrugs*

Most of us do this for fun.

As for the returning of items, that is up to you. Although, I think alot of items that the thief had stolen will insta-return to the mark, under certain conditions. *shrugs* I still come up with gold, reags, runes, runebooks, neat cloths, magic items - but its minimal and not often. Not every uo-niche has to do with income though.

The BPD is trying to provide a group of Officers to fill a niche that isn't being filled in UOSA.

Hi, i am just starting in UO and heard that the BPD men enforce the laws. I remember long ago being greifed heavily and i could never really do much. This seems like my opportunity. I want to join BPD and enforce the law and stop the greifers!

Is this clan still active? I'd love to join.

Aye. We are still around. Many of our members are awol at the moment, so we are harder to find than before, but believe me we are still here.

you Don't need to make a New Character .. but Two of the requirements is to have Forensic Eval and Detect Hidden as 2 of your skills if you need help with a template let us know

Why Forensics?

It's my understanding that it isn't giving away any thieves atm on UOSA?

Forensics tells you if a character is in the thieves guild. What it doesn't do anymore that it used to is if they are perma-grey.

But if you know which people are in the thieves guild, then you know who to watch.
