UO Second Age

So i was cruising the other day and came across this....
Why could i not reach it??

Because it's on the water and you were just at front of your boat...you coulda went beside it and opened hatch and walked on it , then grabbed that crap.

i believe the screenshot is missing the word FAIL in the middle

I think the main reason of the post is to show two kegs and some random items in the middle of the ocean.. pirates just leaving their things anywhere they want.. tisk

boat decayed with those items on it, see how they are arranged like they were sitting around the mast? Might not have decayed because they still thought they were on the boat? Or, you just got there in time. You could have got it.

O forgot to mention that if i turned the boat side ways or moved another tile forward, i would cross over to the other side of map where the items were not, so there was no way to get closer to it, but i could have sworn i was more then close enough.

And actually, from the front of my boat i can usually reach arrows etc on the water.

Part of the reason you couldnt pick it up could very well be related to the server line

Alex fails twice in one thread 8C, and duh boat collapsed

I came across these very same items the other day. While trying to manouver around them to get closer, they seemed to disappear at certain places. I also tried marking a tile next to them and gating there with another toon, but they wouldn't show up. Even the other toon disappeared for the eyes of my sailor. After paging a GM, it was made clear that the items were behind the server line and impossible to pick up. Derrick confirmed this.

And duh how else would they get there? I just didn't know why i could not get to them.

We don't have server lines like original UO did. Technology, and less players/monsters/items allows it to all be on one.

He means the edge of the map, where you get teleported to the other side.
