i have a question, someone know what the exact skill level for magery is, so that i dont fail on recalling with a recall scroll ?

I think for the scroll you only need like 35 magery.

Really? Seems high but I didn't know that. I mean is the error (or success) rate a running total or is it all random? Because I think that after I trained magery to 30ish I dont remember failing to recall with a scroll. And as I mentioned before now at high 40s I never fail with a scroll.

A scroll calculates your chance of success based on what your chance of casting a spell 2 circles lower would be. So look at your chance of casting a level 2 spell.

You have a 100% chance of casting a level 2 spell with 50.1 Magery. That is my final answer, Regis. 50.1 Magery.

I have like 35 magery and have never fizzled from a scroll once, so 50.1 seems ridiculously high, 42 seems pretty high as well. On my OSI dexers with low magery, I also never fizzled. I also never fizzle 2nd circle - something tells me that magery chart is inaccurate.

Based on this link, you can cast Level 2 spells (which is what you're doing by casting level 4 Recall with a scroll) 100% of the time with 36 magery (although I can't vouch for the accuracy of this link in the context of T2A rules, I think this is about right. At lower levels there's still a good success rate (85% at 30 magery for example):

^^ That sounds more in line with what I've experienced. At 60 magery you could probably cast 9 out of 10 times.

Using that guide on stratics you can cast level 2 at 36 magery with 100% sucess. I have locked my magery at 36 on one of my chars and never fail with a recall scroll.

just curious: is the Stratics link is currently correct on UOSA or the wiki? anyone know for sure?
