double-click by type not randomizing

I am trying to setup an alchemy macro using double-click by type to select mortar. The vast majority of the time it selects the same mortar despite fact that I have 20 mortars in my bag. Occasionally it will select another but not usually. So this results in me restarting creating potion.

Is there way to make double-click by type truly random?

nope

it takes longer, and is more troublesome to fix when a mortar breaks, but you can make a macro with 20 absolute targets on 20 mortars...

otherwise just deal with the repetition of re-using the same in-use mortars

thanks for the tip. I tried using absolute targets last night and mortars only lasted a couple hours before breaking. I can't change the macro that frequently.

I guess tho GM mortars last longer? Anyone know a place that might sell those?

Run a check for sysmessge everytime you use a mortar that checks if you break it. If it does simply have it write something to the journal that lets you know which mortar to change.
