UO Second Age

Hello everyone. I've played on two or three free shards off and on for the last 3 years but took a break for awhile. A friend of mine is interested in playing again for the nostalgia so we might join this server. Looks like the player base is pretty small, but I'm okay with that as long as it's mature. Some of the other shards I tried were inundated with power-tripping griefers. Also many shards claiming to be T2A didn't have the lost lands open and didn't have mounts.

I guess the only way to see if this is the shard for me is to give it a try. I'm curious to know if anyone else, like me, enjoys playing the game from character creation instead of macroing up to 225/700 before doing anything. If so give me your char name so my friend and I can watch for you in game. Oh, and one more thing, how does skill gain compare with how OSI was? Thanks.

The player base isn't that small. We're pulling around 200 a night lately it seems. And the shard seems alive even with that number.

As for the character of the players, well, there are griefers and jerks, but that is just part of UO. Era accuracy, you know. This shard really does recreate T2A in amazing detail.

the majority of orcs don't macro all that much and to be honest its a lot funner to play that way. Plus when you GM its a serious accomplishment.

(Although we currently have a couple of people that won't leave us alone and are taking counts by killing our characters with 50 of each skill which is sort of pathetic, but anyways..[TG])
you may want to give the orcs a try.
