I wonder how many children he could have saved instead of buying all that equipment.
A true global hero

This also isn't multiclienting, using multiple computers in ma's basement to run multiple instances of one game isn't breaking any rules, as he points out. Have fun doing this especially after the new hydro prices hitting Ontario this year

while i admire certain aspects of tech, this is just kind of stupid.
the person is literally paying to get ahead which kind of ruins the game imho.
the companies are cool with this in many games because why should they care
when someone is paying for 5,10, or who knows how many clients per month.
eve online in particular offers newbies the chance to buy a monthly sub and sell it
to players in game for currency. kind of making it easy for veterans but really
at the core all it's doing it making people with interest and hope fork out cash.
i tried out lord of the rings online mainly for the monster pvp.
which i must admit was kind of cool, similar to warhammer how you just jumped
right into the pvp area. but there was a notorious player who would always have
his own full group of mages, if he didn't spike dmg you in one hit with all his accounts
you could just kill his main and get 5 free kills. reported multiple times by many folk.
and it was painfully obvious when you saw 6 characters do exactly the same thing
from exactly the same spot stacked on top on one another.
i think that's really the true future of mmo's.
w.o.w. and many others are the same, they purposefully make things take forever
and a week to get, so you have to keep paying. UO had it right, make some things
take forever, but others wouldn't be hard to replace.

Sorry for the multiple posts, but wondering just how much power this uses? I added a little dinky heater onto the same power my computer is set to in the winter and it killed the entire power bar pretty fast!

Computers themselves don't use a lot of power, its the fans that disapate the heat.
The moniters don't use a horrid amount of electrisity either.
My 3 pc setup probably uses less juice then my fish tank.

Just made a new build with AMD 965 4 gigs of ram and a ati 5770 and I pull 53 watts (with UO and all the extras open) according to the power saver monitor thing.
