1v1 tournaments back to back

Post by BlackFoot »

During discussions at the British assassin event tournaments came up into discussion (as per).
It was proposed that if the 1v1 events that are immediately followed by again another 1v1 event were split out by 60-90 minutes it would stimulate more interaction in between the events.

Thoughts?

Spacing out the events to have hour intervals is a great idea!
Who ever thought of this is a brilliant thinker now we can have a peace in the debate on how to keep people on when they just want to log on for the tourneys then leave.

Seriously?

So people can waste 30 minutes getting their magics/regs/potions ready, go to the event, be out of the "game" for another hour, and then immediately lock themselves in their tiny decorated keeps and restock for another event beginning in 30 minutes, in which they will be out of the game for another hour, followed by possible logging or breaking for dinner, as people seem to do after a 2-3 hour span.

So we are going to use customization to "stimulate pvp" ?

Sounds like something alot of other shards do...

As long as we are going to have these types of events I would agree with doing this.

Just saw a bit of irony in using a non-t2a customized event to promote PvP.

Now honestly if 1v1 tourneys where held by players and still rewarded with trophy's it would promote alot more PvP.
Like on OSI when players held events pks came to crash them.

But I really shouldn't be bringing this thread off topic to discuss that. Sorry about that.

Yea, I feel the tournaments and point system take away the integrity of the shard.
