Resisting Spells Question

I am training magery and resisting spells at the same time. I currently have 70.5 magery, 69.7 resisting spells, and 82.5 evaluating intelligence. I am casting EB on myself to gain in both skills (per the magery wiki).

Does my high-ish evaluating intelligence cause me to resist spells less, and gain resisting spells more slowly than if I did not have any eval intelligence?

Eval of caster (you) won't have any effect on resist gains.

As per OSI, you cannot gain resist skill in town :/

Yeah, you have to be outside town. You can go from 30-55 resist in about 15 minutes running through a firewall. Resist is a bad choice of starting skill ;/

If you have a house and multiple characters it's also really easy to macro a firewall.
