LMS should just be removed.
The effort needed to redo the event could be better spent on virtually anything.

Yeah, LMS is fundamentally flawed. The best way to change it is to replace or remove it. There's no such thing as LMS in what is essentially a team based game. Replace it with CTF, DD, or something like team death match.

oh and there should only be 1 event a week.

You cant deny that making LMS free use makes it already better. Sure its a crap event but I doubt it will ever be revamped.
