Hi.

A friend and I just cooked bread together for about 30 minutes. We did not receive any gains at all?
(?)

Thanks

Our skill is both between 10 and 20.

That's very strange. I'll check into this. If you have any fish, I'd be interested to see if you got gains on those.

Thanks

Yes fish seems to give us gains quite easily. However, after each of us making what I'm going to guess was 3-400 bread loaves, no gains.

Ok.. I have looked into cooking and here are my list of issues.

1. You are unable to combine dough and a pear to make a fruit pie.
a. Combining Dough and an Apple to make an Apple Pie is working correctly.
b. Combining Dough and a Peach to make a Peach Cobbler is working correctly.
2. Cooking Plain Dough for Bread and Sweet Dough for Muffins does not seem to gain skill in Cooking.

All other food items seem to be working correctly for combining and skill gains. I was unable to test any recipes that needed Eggs or Pumpkins because I could not find any....

I'll try and get this fixed tonight. The recipe info I had may not have been comprehensive. If you have a complete list please post it and I'll make sure everything it correct ASAP.

We can then maybe turn that list into a cooking guide.

Thanks!

raw fish steaks will GM you cooking one at a time. My Alchemist trains it when I don't need my mules for anything else. 97.x cooking and item id currently lol.

I'm glad we can combine these cooking recipes. I had tried making some earlier and figured they were simply not in game due to inaccuracy. Were pizzas around?

Here's a list of what I remember...

I will work on making a Guide. It can be my first one on this forum. :)

Note, I was unable to find Eggs, Pumpkins, or Raw Chicken Legs anywhere! I'm sure they probably random spawn on orc drops and could possibly be in the In Mani Ylem food list. Please let me know and I'll confirm those are working also. The Raw Chicken Legs used to be the raw food drop on chicken corpses only. All other bird type corpses dropped the Raw Bird type meat.

Preparations

1 Sheaf of Hay + Flour Mill = Sack of Flour
Water + Sack of Flour = Dough
Dough + Honey = Sweet Dough
Sweet Dough + Flour = Cake Mix
Sweet Dough + Honey = Cookie Mix
Dough + Egg = Unbaked Quiche
Dough + Raw Meat = Unbaked Meat Pie
Dough + Pear = Unbaked Fruit Pie
Dough + Peach = Unbaked Peach Cobbler
Dough + Apple = Unbaked Apple Pie
Dough + Pumpkin = Unbaked Pumpkin Pie
Dough + Wheel of Cheese = Uncooked Cheese Pizza
Dough + Sausage = Uncooked Sausage Pizza

Baking

Dough + Heat Source = Bread Loaf
Cookie Mix + Heat Source = Pan of Cookies
Cake Mix + Heat Source = Cake
Sweet Dough + Heat Source = Muffins
Uncooked Quiche + Heat Source = Baked Quiche
Uncooked Meat Pie + Heat Source = Baked Meat Pie
Unbaked Fruit Pie + Heat Source = Baked Fruit Pie
Unaked Peach Cobber + Heat source = Baked Peach Cobbler
Unbaked Apple Pie + Heat Source = Baked Apple Pie
Unbaked Pumpkin Pie + Heat Source = Baked Pumpkin Pie
Uncooked Cheese Pizza + Heat Source = Cheese Pizza
Uncooked Sausage Pizza + Heat Source = Sausage Pizza

Barbecue

Raw Bird + Heat Source = Cooked Bird
Raw Chicken Leg + Heat Source = Chicken Leg
Fish Steak + Heat Source = Fish Steak
Egg + Heat Source = Fried Eggs
Raw Leg of Lamb + Heat Source = Leg of Lamb
Raw Ribs + Heat Source = Cut of Ribs

Cooking of Dough and Sweet Dough was trivial at 10 skill. I've bumped it up a little and will check for accuracy when I get the rest of these recipes in.

Thanks!

Np.. I created a Cooking Guide in the Guides section also. I hope ya like.

Note that cooking skill is a direct percentage chance as to whether you are successful at cooking any item. All items require 0 skill to be cooked and all items gain skill the same no matter what you are cooking.

Thanks for fixing some stuff! :) WOOT!

Ahh, gotcha. That 10 should have been a 100. I'll fix again :)

Thanks for fixing the skill gains for cooking.

1. I just want to point out that combining dough with pears still does not create a fruit pie as it should. Nothing happens...

2. I saw that you tried to modify the loot drop of chicken corpses but I guess you had problems because for awhile chickens were not dropping any loot, then they switched back to dropping raw bird steaks again. I will state that the raw chicken legs are available for sell at the food shop in Jhelom so it's not that big of a deal.

3. Where are the pumpkins? In T2A OSI, pumpkins were only available on NPC vendors during the canadian and american thanks giving, halloween, and christmas holidays. Other thann during those times, pumpkins were not able to be found anywhere on the server.

I used to buy them by the troves and save them for once everyone ran out and sold them on my vendor when they were no longer available. Would it be possible to do this again? We are in the time pumpkins are ripe! The pumpkin patch near the dock to Skara is not farmable and I'm not seeing them for sale on any food vendors.

If they are available somewhere, just let me know and i'll keep trying to find them! :)

The pumkin thing isn't entirely accurate. Pumkins were available from the barrels in provisoners shops as a theft only item. They provided a small income through the semi-rares market along with the other stealable rares that existed in various towns.

I was not aware of that. Thanks for the tip!
