UO Second Age

Lately I've seen a whole bunch of lumberjacking characters with regular NPC names like Thomas,William, Norton etc, just running around near banks jacking trees and despositing the boards in the bank. They ussually carry alot of axes on them and don't ever reply backor stop when you talk to them. Maybe they just don't want to talk but it seems pretty unattended to me. Anyone else seen this?

if they are afk they can't report you for murder
maybe poison kill some if they bother you, or try to page a gm and report
after further inspection if you still think its an afk harvesting macro.

Report them and their location if you think they're afk resource gathering.

Yes they can, the murder gump even comes back up if they log out and re-log back in.

Where have you seen these folks?

movement macro = follow path set gate up to (random_dungeon_1) hide & follow & laff...

I have also noticed quite a few players on the forums selling LARGE quantity of boards for very reasonable prices....

Well, when I first came back I saw a few at EBB. Then I moved to Minoc where I see this happening all day, everyday. Only tried to really talk a few times, but was completely ignored and they didn't even miss a beat. Run around to different trees, then bank the boards. Look like NPC's and have generic names.

If anyone sees anybody acting suspiciously when gathering resources, please don't hesitate to page in about it. We try our best to catch as many razor and EUO macroers as possible, but we can't catch all of them on our own. This is where you guys as the community can help to ensure that the economy that you enjoy stays as stable as possible.

Well, I remember the first time I saw recall mining. I thought that was pretty shady, but its possible with Razor .Just don't want to tattle without further investigation.

I've seen these a lot more than usual as well. I can say the board industry has really gone down since say, November.

I found someone like that years ago. We got little boxes and made a makeshit jail for him away from NPCs, then released tamed snakes and hid.

Good times.

i meant you probably have enough time to kill them all with a noob character before they report the murders

My favorite is newb character 50 magery 50 int, give him a summon daemon scrolls and kill him. Best is to name the newb mage "dontmacro." But I do like the idea of casting a gate to somewhere far away and dangerous!
