Who has a bad character that isn't a murderer? Whats his rep title? My character just made Vile tonight, kind of proud. Its not easy being bad.

Despicable

Vile is -3 karma rank, -5 on the same row would be Dread.

You can macro -4 karma rank (evil with your current fame - same row as despicable) with provocation on an NPC.

Worst I goto is generally Sinister Lord, since you can macro down from Glorious - Sinister in like 5 minutes, lol. I use my mage for hunting atm so I'm constantly positive karma :<

-5 karma rank requires so much work and it would be basically impossible to keep the dread lord title here since fame decays and every time you lose the lord title you would have to gain fame again. Screw killing 100's of nobles/seekers

Really? I didnt know that. I dont have any bard skill. Sinister Lord sounds pretty badass.

You don't need bard skill (I think), you lose the karma off even trying. (Not confirmed)

I would be seriously impressed seeing someone get the dread lord title here. I've done it on OSI and other player-run shards, but this server it would be so much more difficult with no karma locks etc. Though TBH there may be an exploit here to get -5 karma from res killing another character with high karma. This was not possible on OSI (you had to take 10 murder counts to get -5). I've made threads about this which have been ignored.

So just provoke 2 npcs to fight each other? I will try it.

When you use prov on an NPC, the NPC should say something like "I know what thou'rt trying to do!" and you won't get a target. That's how it worked back in the day, anyway

I had my thief Outcast for awhile then somehow she got karama and is despicable now, I need to grind her back down

I generally stay here, sometimes up/down fame, but I never farm anything.


Outcast/Dread is easy to get. Just get to your designated fame-level, and then start chopping up bodies.

I think that if you purposly set out to lower your karma for a cool title, well, that defeats the point, and is a rather big waste of time (*coughSandrocough*)

You can only go so far off chopped bodies. The rep system isnt correct here.

There is really no other way to get -4 or -5 karma rank other than purposely setting out to do it. Different strokes for different folks, but I've always enjoyed the reputation system and keeping titles that I like.

Chopping up bodies never took your karma that low. The lowest you could take your karma was with provocation, then switching to killing nobles. Either that or take a bunch of murder counts and macro them off.. which made dread lord pretty easy after faction reprieve (10 kill counts then reprieve).

Edit: Just tried the prov trick and it doesn't work. You can provoke NPCs on this shard. I'm relatively certain that is not accurate, you couldn't provoke NPCs during UO:R for sure (I couldn't say for certain whether you could during T2A and it was taken out).
