Question about rares

Not sure anyone would really answer this, but I figured it don't hurt to ask.

I'm not having any luck scoring any rares in the field. I've been all over the dungeons and towns pulling on things and seeing if anyhting would end up in my pack, nothing so far. I guess what I'd like to know is are people stealing most of this stuff or can it simply be picked up and Im just not in the right place or there at the right time?

Looking at the deco pics for the contests, people have some wild stuff...hanging suits of armor, guillatine, pots of wax, etc. I'd really like to get my handsds on a few nice things to decorate my house.

I'd REALLY like to get some of those colored and empty vial sets and tarot cards. Curious also if flasks are spawning that anyone knows of?

Does anyone have any basic tips for scoring rares on this shard that they;d be willign to share? If conficentiality is an issue by all means, feel free to message me.

I can never seem to score them either. Except the whips from picking skara ranger chests; and dried herbs which are stolen. There are several rares which do require stealing, however most of the ones you mentioned should be simple grab and pull. Not all stealable rares are implemented according to some expert thieves.
At any rate, i know Derrick said some rares spawn slower than on OSI to compensate for the smaller player base. So perhaps we are just there at the wrong times?

most arent stealable just pop up, gotta be at right place right time, a lot of times its more time and cost effective to buy them from somone then to look for them yourselves, i know a lot of the spawn locations and have them timed out pretty well. the tarrot cards, and pot of wax still elude me :/

dried herbs don't need to be stolen at least at the location i've gotten them..
Yes not all rares need to be stolen, in fact the only good rare I've seen that needs to be stolen is the singing crystal ball..
those items that elude you like the pot of wax are tuff because they only pop up once a month.. so it is extremely rare to even see it since those of us who know where it is check it often..
Most rares here are camped i'd guess, dried herbs at glow are, vases, bloody bowls, etc.

what you need to do to find the rares is walk around the entire land and constantly hold CNTRL + SHIFT so you can see the items which are highlightable.. if it is highlightable, there is a small chance you can pick it up- if you can you have a rare.. if not keep looking

Look in dungeons and places of interest: go to all the parts of every city which you would consider "out of the way" i.e. the square guard tower all the way east of Serpents Hold bank which nobody ever goes to is the spawn location for what you see on the table ;D
