Let me say straight off that I have no issue with the tournaments being there, it's just they're not of interest to me at this time. But when I'm wandering the quieter lands a bunch of messages up the side of my screen about LOLKiller winning 10 points detracts from the in-world atmosphere a little.

It's no big issue, but if there's an easy way I can stop them appearing that'd be great.

That actually sounds pretty reasonable.

I wouldn't use the feature but it does sound like a good idea for the roleplayers on this shard.

That would be very nice. As someone who rarely does automated events, I'm tired of getting spammed by them.

It is a system message, and currently there is no way to filter them out. If you could filter them out, you would also miss out on the save warnings, and any other staff sent messages. I think this is a good suggestion and will move this to the suggestion forum.

Create a command similar to the public command that will disable event messages.

I think we need to have less messages then since we can't eliminate it completely.

Like keep messages saying when an event begins, but get rid of all the extra crap like(who won, who scored ect.). If anyone cared they would be at the tourney seeing it for themselves.

Let's concentrate on more important things.

I will try to make the "results" messages only broadcast to the players in attendance as soon as possible
