what happened to the Spawn at Sea?

been fishing for an houir tonight trolling from MIB to MIB .. and haven't seen any Spawn!

Did they get turned off.... again?

I came across soem Deep Sea Serps and sea Serps when I was fishing near Temple Island and Valor Island. maybe it got tweeked down a bit?
The other day I was making some ok gold killing Deep sea serps and water eles there was a ton of them just south of Moonglow island. (I also bagged 3 Mibs with in a hour too.

seems like it was tweaked

another question ... i see a change in the Metal Chest fished up form MIB's
they no longer have the gold bands ..
they now have grey bands! was wondering if this is how it is going to remain ..
or is it something that was changed on accident!

next question is ... WHY
Why is it that Sea Serpents and Water Ellies do not actively Attack you... the go Aggressive, but do not cast on you untill you attack first!

I don't know if this is era accurate or not, but I find that magical land creatures tend to do the same (liches and deamons in particular).

Spell casting creatures did not start casting spells until they were a combatant even if they had a combatant.

This was later changed in the UOR publish AI revamp.

Monsters here will immediately cast on you if someone attacked them, even if the monster was attacked hours ago. Fresh spawn won't cast until damaged/double clicked in war mode

yes .. so as an afk fisherman there is NO Risk of Being Killed At Sea (except for pirates)
you can have your boat surrounded by Sea Serpents and Water Ellies. and as long as no one attack them, they will not Attack you!
