Blocking line of sight through house windows.

Hi folks,

If I place something like a stack of crates or a bookcase infront of a window so the game graphics make it look blocked off, does the game 'see' that as blocking LOS from outside for spell/arrow attacks?

Also, does the game's LOS mechanism account for different levels? Eg. If I'm upstairs and away from a window can people at ground level see me anyway? (I mean for targeting purposes, I know people can see my character's name on the screen).

I'd rather not find out by logging in to find a dead character sometime :D

Thanks.

I was under the impression that the center tile in a small was 100% safe with the door locked. Couldn't get hit my arrows or MS. But Earthquake can still take you down to 10 hits.

That was my understanding too until I read this earlier -

[Guy had been killed in his house]

It is an old thread though, so might've changed since then?

Hmmmm.... I'm ready to here an answer on this. But that doesn't add up at all. Hes saying he was killed with an ebolt while hidden. Not possible. That you need to be shown for.

Wow, that is an old post.

Windows do not provide line of sight. Dont even trouble yourself with blocking them.
