That is the best way to enjoy the game.
This is true for 1999 as well as 2010. It makes no difference.

Well I could go on and elaborate and go deeper with it but I will just leave it simple.
And yea this works for real life too, lol I guess I see UO as another life.
It's a virtual world that we exist in and we create our reality by whatever thoughts or feelings we form as we play the game. Just walk around Brittain and look at another player, think about what he might be thinking about in terms of UO. His total perception of the world he exists in(Brittania) is drastically different from yours because it is subjective to him. He may be thinking about how the bard music is sure getting on his nerves while you might be wondering who is cutting some bandages.
Sandbox for life.

Textbook casuistry.
Somebody might know C+ and think, "Well, since I know your IP, I think it's fair game to crash your client for your pixels before I keylog you and then steal your credit card." Whatever reasoning scum needs, if any is used beyond, "I feel like it, so go f*$# yourself."
Careful who you deal with and how you interact with them.
We live in a byzantinian Universe of unforeseeable consequences and unimaginable unknowns

You should only have expectations from people who voluntarily agreed to meet your expectations. (employee etc)

That's what I thought at first too. You'll see in time though. No worries, no anger.

Not necessarily. You're much more likely to have expectations met by someone with a gun to his mouth though.
